What was the highlight of Hotel San Giusto
Hotel is comfortable and functional. The neighhood is cozy.
We enjoyed a stroll in the morning and evening aroun d the chursch where local people gather and spend their time together. The hotel made a resrvation for the car parking space inside its own basement quite easily. Staff spoke multiple languages and explained well how to get a day ticket for public transport.

What was the highlight of Hotel San Giusto
good enough value for money
The hotel is as good as I expected it. The room was clean, it had excellent air conditioning (some might find it a bit too cold, but I guess you can adjust it. I was not able to turn it down :P), the bathroom was clean and the cleaning service was changing and cleaning the room each day. The room has a mini-fridge and small vault to keep your valuables. Parking place is good (make sure you actively ask for a spot when doing the reservation, as the places are very limited). The hotel overall looks fine, it has a two parts: one that is a bit more modern (rooms have active locks, with cards) and an older part which is a bit dated (old school rooms, with regular keys). We stayed in the old part, it was fine. I loved the hotel lobby and dining place: it really felt very italian.. somehow. The reception staff was absolutely fine, they were all super friendly! Also, as far as italian breakfasts go, this hotel offers far more than all the others: it had eggs, bacon, turkey ham, cereal, excellent coffee (really, delicious!!!) and CAKES!!! I loved the cakes! Who says I cannot have a full strawberry-cream-cake for breakfast?? Also, speaking of food, the hotel has a dinner offer which seems quite nice: 19euro for soup, main course and dessert, served from 7-9 PM (personally I did not take it, as we were always arriving late in the room, but I could see other people in the dining area enjoying the dinner)
There are some things I could suggest improving: the breakfast, as it was fine compared to the italian standards, it could use a bit of diversity from one day to another. We stayed for three nights and each morning the food was identical. I guess for a one-night-stay it is perfectly fine. Then, the carpets in the old part of the hotel really need a makeover. If someone from the hotel is reading this, please change them ASAP. They look quite dated! Then the overall look and feel of the old part of the hotel: really doesn't feel like it's making money's worth: door is really old, carpets are dated (even the carpets in the room could use a bit of more cleaning). Also, make sure you prepare your climbing shoes :)) the hotel is perched way up on the hilly side of Trieste so, even if it is not far from the city center, when you need to get back to the hotel you'll have a bit of cardio workout!

Well...not too pleasant..
We could check-in late, right before midnight and the location was very good.
The room was old, the floor caroet had strange large dirt spots and there was still feces feom other guests on the toilet brush.
